Hi everyone!

My nighttime skin care changes from day to day, as you can see from my Instagram pictures above.  I tend to switch/rotate products, not a complete change, but there is usually something different from the night before.  Lately though, I always start with a sheet mask after I shower, and use a deep clean mask beforehand every once in a while.  Here are a few products that I’ve been using lately that are new to the blog here.

AmorePacific Moisture Bound Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System – this face mist smells great and provides quick hydration for my dry skin that lasts for hours.  It does well before and after makeup, and leaves me with a nice dewy sheen.  I have to make sure I’m not spraying too close though which I tend to do, but otherwise the mist distributes evenly.  Key ingredients include green tea extract, ginseng and bamboo sap that are hydrating and act as an antioxidant.

Mario Badescu Strawberry Face Scrub – this smells good, affordable and lasted me a while. It’s made with real strawberry seeds and is gentle, feels a bit like cream/lotion.  Not a heavy duty scrub.

Lancôme Tonique Radiance Clarifying Exfoliating Toner – so for a while I’ve been washing my face in the morning with just water, followed by a homemade toner (rosewater and apple cider vinegar) and my face was doing alright, no breakouts but nothing great either.  So I wanted to try a new toner and I’ve always liked Lancome.  This toner however is not great for my dry skin and smelled strong of alcohol.  It’s probably better suited for oily skin prone to acne I think.  I will likely stop using this, especially since I found the Tatcha cleansing oil!

H&M Vitalising All Over Oil – this is created by the Conscious line at H&M.  It’s a multi-purpose oil for bath, body and hair.  Ingredients include certified organic jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, rosemary extract and sunflower oil and smells as such.  I like using this on my body, especially the neck area; it’s great for any dry/rough patches.  Also great for ends of my wet/dry hair, a little bit goes a long way here.

Processed with Snapseed.  First Aid Beauty Anti-Redness Serum – this was a no brainer for me when I saw it.  First, I really enjoy their First Aid 5 in 1 Face Cream SPF30 (click here for my post on that), and it claims to “calm skin, relieve visible redness, safe for sensitive skin” in an airless pump bottle, thats what I need!  It’s moisturizing, I typically use it after the face mist in the morning and sometimes after the sheet mask at night.  I still have redness though, but skin feels good, non-irritated and ready for moisturizer/spf.

eye cream.jpg First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Eye Cream – this is a good, gentle product.  It’s light, applies well, moisturizing, non-irritating, but I feel I could use more moisture, maybe a more oily one would be better.  It’s not making a huge difference for me.

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream – love this!  It’s a lightweight, non-greasy, hydrating, easy to apply moisturizer.  My face feels so soft, moisturized after using it and it stays that way for a long time.  The key ingredient, ceramides, helps with penetrating skin and retain moisture, soothes and provides anti-redness properties, strengthens and softens skin at the same time.  It’s great for those with sensitive skin to use at am or pm.  Can I say more?  This got everything.  To note, my baby has light eczema and the doctor had recommended the CeraVe cream because it contains Ceramides and it has worked wonderfully for her.

I use this after makeup wipes and it’s great at removing the rest of my makeup, so clean yet non-drying.  It’s amazing how something so gentle could clean your face so well, I’m in awe every time I use this and wish I had created it, this and Tatcha’s Rice Enzyme Powder.  It is an exfoliator!  I still can’t believe it after using it so many times.  It’s like pouring flour onto your palm and calling it a scrub.  I don’t get how it works, but I feel like I had used a scrub afterwards, without the drying part.  I typically use this after their cleansing oil.  If you like to exfoliate almost everyday like me, this is perfect, it’s so much more gentle than most exfoliating scrubs.  The result of using both products makes my skin feel super clean, non-drying, soft and just happy!  Love these!

Processed with Snapseed.  Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream – this is one of those things that I love after just one use.  It’s a moisturizer that’s not greasy (oil-free formula), not too thick, reminds me of clay mask (because of the smell I think), easy to apply, and you can feel the hydration and see a nice dewy skin tone afterwards.  As it advertises, it’s good for dryness, dark spots, wrinkles and uneven skin tone.  It’s good for all skin types.  I typically slather this on as the last skin care item at night, but I hear it’s great for day time as well.  Love it!

Hope this is helpful.  I really enjoyed writing this post as I really wanted to share my thoughts on some of these amazing products.

Have a great one!
